These rich waters produce all five species of Pacific Salmon, Tanner and Dungeness crab, Halibut, Gray (pacific) Cod, Ling Cod, Red Snapper and 20 other varieties of rockfish. This is one of the world’s finest fisheries, and why the Orca and Humpback whales feed here!

Our waters are pristine and far away from any other towns, so we enjoy wilderness fishing without day traffic pressure from commercial and sport fleets. Calm waters, created by the sheltered weather effect of Ugak Bay, adds to the enjoyment of fishing at Kodiak Wilderness Lodge.
